We are pleased to announce the Conference Abstract and Programme Book is finished and available for download on the conference website. It can be downloaded here. The Abstract and Programme Book is only available as a PDF, it will not be distributed in printed form.
We are pleased that nearly 300 participants registered for the 22nd Conference of the European Bird Census Council (EBCC) called Bird Numbers 2022: “Beyond the Atlas: challenges and opportunities”.
The conference will be held from 4 to 8 April 2022 in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland, at the Swiss Museum of Transport (“Verkehrshaus der Schweiz”) next to Lake Lucerne.
Note for participants:
Cold weather with temperatures of 5–10 °C is forecast for the next week in Switzerland. Snowfall down to low altitudes is also possible. It is therefore worth bringing warm clothes and shoes, especially for the excursions on Thursday.
Switzerland will lift all its Covid-19 restrictions on 1 April. Meaning that you will not have to wear face masks in public transport any longer. However, the infection rate with the omicron-variant is still pretty high in Switzerland and given that you might need a negative Covid-test for your flight home, we strongly advise to take all necessary measures in public. Wearing face masks is not forbidden! Please inquire whether you need to get a negative Covid-PCR-test for the flight back to your country.
We look forward to meeting you in person soon!
